FAQ

Do I need Adobe Photoshop?

This class is demonstrated and documented using Adobe Photoshop, and the techniques shown are Photoshop-specific. While many of the concepts and approaches do translate to Photoshop Elements, some tools or features may not be available in every version.

That said, PSE enthusiasts will be interested in the technique application to memory-keeping pages—especially the varied approaches for placing extractions and using them with frames and blendable clipping masks in your pages. If you’re a seasoned scrapbooker using a newer version of Photoshop Elements, you’ll likely be able to follow along and adapt the techniques with confidence.

Hi I thought the class was fantastic I did the replay modules as the time difference is difficult. I originally started by thinking I will listen to a couple then do another couple next day. Well laid plans didn’t work, I was hooked ended up by passing everything else that day. I learnt so much, even things I knew but had forgotten. I have been playing with some not so great pics lately and referring back to the class has really helped thank you I am so happy I took the class, thank you once again Bubby (Marg)

I loved the class. The information was easy to follow and really enhanced my photos. She gives a checklist for editing which was a great help as I was completing my pages. I’m late to the extractions fun but not only did I learn how to extract she shows us how to use them creatively in our pages!

    • Anna Aspnes

Photoshop and Elements now makes it easier than ever to create what used to be a complex page. Digital has never been better 🙂 Thank you for the fabulous feedback on the checklist. I will be sure to include those in future classes not that I know they are a big hit. Appreciate your time and generous words about this class. Thank you!

If you want to up your game with photos that pop and utilizing AI for cleaning up photos and extractions, this is the class for you! I took this class specifically to learn about using AI with your scrapbooking. Anna did not disappoint. I am now obsessed with extractions–so easy!

    • Anna Aspnes

Always glad to meet and exceed your expectations in my classes, Terry. I very much appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts about this class. Thank you so much!

This class has a lot to offer, even if you think you know how to edit your photos. Anna’s explanations & real demos of creating a scrapbook page address the addition of Adobe AI techniques available in both PS & PSE which are influencing how we create. The included checklist has already been a great help to me when creating as it reminds me of the tools I could use & helps with my work flow. As a PS Elements user I found this class very easy to follow & there are lots of PSE tips.

    • Anna Aspnes

Yes for sure on the AI. It’s exciting to think what might be coming down the pipeline for us memory-keepers. It’s always good to hear from my Photoshop Elements people that they were able to follow along without issue when the classes are only available in Photoshop. I will continue to assess what makes sense for each class in terms of demonstrations in the different scrapbooking programs. Thank you for the feedback on the checklist. I think they are helpful when you are in the thick of creating a digital scrapbooking page. Appreciate you.

Anna’s class “Digital Photo Editing Techniques” highlights the various ways to make photos stand out or be the focus of attention. She has a way of making difficult tasks more simple. That is why I’m recommending this class to anyone who likes to make photos more clear, sharp, or focused and to those who use it to highlight their scrapbooking pages. I especially like how she breaks down the replay into small fragments, making it possible to better understand those parts you want to review.

    • Anna Aspnes

I do my best Ray 🙂 Just sharing the joy of digital memory-keeping keeping one layout a time and hopefully making it a little less overwhelming Thank you for the kind words and support of my classes. It means much. The shorter modules ARE much easier to revisit and coordinate with the written course outline.

  6. Beverly Cazzell (verified owner)

Watching Anna demonstrate the multiple ways to enhance our photos was so enlightening. Using the techniques the way she does, has definitely improved the way my photos and finished pages look. I’ve found that printing can often yield too dark of photo pages that aren’t pleasing to enjoy. These techniques will be at the top of my game plan. The nicest part of the replay videos is how Anna takes extra time to break the sessions into smaller portions, making concentration much easier, and staying focused on one specific technique/topic. The AI tools now in Photoshop are a real advancement in how we can easily extract subjects and quickly use them to give added interest to our pages. This class is a must for scrappers and digital art creators who are interested in having the best possible layouts upon completion that will be “print ready”. Thank you very much Anna! Loved the class!

    • Anna Aspnes

Thanks so much Beverly for the glowing review 🙂 So glad the class was helpful.

Thank you Anna for another fabulous class! As always, I enjoy watching you create the magic on your pages – very inspiring! I was particularly interested in the AI component of your class and enjoyed watching that part multiple times while I tried it out for myself. I haven’t been successful in the past in using the AI so that was so great! I love the way you provide the replay, in sections. It makes it so much easier to find the part of the class you want to go over. Definitely a “must do” class to up the ante on your pages!!

    • Anna Aspnes

Hi Michelle, glad you enjoyed the class. It’s always good to know I can still bring something new to the table, even for my most advanced used. Glad you found the AI helpful – It can be controversial but I have certainly found it to be helpful when used in a balanced way on my own pages.
