Use Design Principles.
Stamp brushes in 3 different places around your layout, so that if the impressions were connected by lines, they would create a triangle.
For example, Heather has used brushes from MiniDots No. 1 using the color, blue.
Also notice, how the photo has been positioned centrally, and the surrounding brush work leads the eye, drawing the eye to the focal point.

Use Your Edges.
Stamp brushes from PaperTextures No. 3 to strengthen or hide the edges where one element meets another.
This approach can create visual interest, and help enhance your blended composites.
