25 Years of Digital Scrapbook Photo Books — and Counting
The aA Project has been running as an annual event since 2011. In that time, hundreds of students have gone from a folder of unsorted photos to a printed book they can set on the coffee table. Some have completed one. Some have a shelf full. The approach works because it is structured enough to follow and flexible enough to make entirely your own.
The 2023 replay gives you the full experience — the planning, the artistry, the community, and the templates — in your own time. Watch a session in the morning, pick it up again next week, revisit a technique six months from now. It is all there, and it does not expire.
See the full Digital Scrapbooking Journey Evolved – 25-Year’s of Memories for a look at how the experience — and the artistry — has grown over the years.

I have been participating in this project class since 2016 among most of Anna’s other classes. I have beautiful books of my granddaughters lives each year. I love her process. She is very thorough and if you get stuck she is always available to help you. I love her classes, her products and she is AMAZING!!!
Anna Aspnes –
Oh I love this Joan! And thank you so much 🙂

I have been participating in this class for a couple of years now and have completed two books and last year completed another with Travel PJ class. I have accomplished more and learned more from Anna than any other scrappin’ teacher – she is amazing and helps us whenever we need it! I also this past year reworked a PJ I started almost 10 year ago (16 day cruise) that had over 70 pages and whittled it down to under 50.
Anna Aspnes –
Thanks for the kind review Char and can I just say ‘wow’ at how much you have achieved in your memory-keeping this year!

I’m so glad I stumbled upon Anna’s projects and classes a few years ago. I’ve learned so much and my style of scrapbooking has changed to something I find suits me a lot better. I love that there is no pressure to finish my project within the limits of the project timeline, but there is a lot of encouragement to keep going and to finish it. If I’m stuck for inspiration or a layout is just not coming together, Anna is just an email away and she is filled with advise and ideas to get me going again. I would highly recommend Anna’s classes, and definitely recommend using the templates and products available to create beautiful, long lasting scrapbook memories which can be printed into albums
Anna Aspnes –
It’s been a joy to watch your artistry and story-telling blossom Maggie. You are such a valued member of the aA community.

The thing I love most about Anna’s Projects is the organization style she teaches for preparing for the project. I feel that following her tried and true methods are what assures completion, not to mention a very satisfying result. I am so proud of the few books I have completed, and I am anxious to see this one in print. Anna covers everything you need to know in the sessions, and then adds lots of new techniques as a bonus. And the recordings are always available to rewatch. She is also always willing to give personal assistance by email. I can’t wait for the Extraction class!
Anna Aspnes –
Appreciate the feedback Susan. You have taken a giant leap forward in this project and I can’t wait to see what you do next 🙂

I’ve created many photobooks so was really looking for new techniques to use with my artsy scrapbooking and really found it with this class! Lots of techniques and special instructions for PSE users made this class a great value. The included word art was wonderful and Anna gave out many suggestions on how to make it fit to our own pages!
Anna Aspnes –
Really helpful feedback Lori. Always keeping my PSE people in mind as I find alternatives and techniques to support the artistry. Appreciate you.

I just LOVE Anna’s classes! I have learned so much from her and continue to learn with each class I take. In this class, Anna’s approach to creating a scrapbook is well organized and thorough. Plus, she adds wonderful bonuses, like templates and word prompts that go above and beyond what’s expected. For as long as Anna continues to offer the project class, I’ll continue to take it – no matter how many scrapbooks I’ve created. It’s just so much fun!
Anna Aspnes –
Oh gosh! What a lovely review 🙂 One of the best parts of these projects is the community, the people that create them. Always love to have your enthusiasm in class Susan. Thank you for sharing 🙂

I’ve taken many of Anna’s classes and have come away with so many wonderful ideas and techniques. The Project 2023 I chose to do this year is a very difficult one for me. I found that I was able to get started (the hardest part of all) and am continuing forward throughout this coming year (2024) with the encouragement and inspiration of Anna as well as the participants of the community. I’m finding I am working on my project for a period of time nearly every day. So, I’m thankful for the great ideas, encouragement and information.
Anna Aspnes –
Everyone assumes that digital scrapbooking is about the happy memories and stories but this is not the true representation of life. For every moment of joy there is a mirror story of loss and sadness. It’s the yin and yang, black and white, salt and pepper. Over the years, I have experienced personally and seen through student this approach to documenting all facets of life as a means of understanding, coming to terms and sometimes grieving these different sides of life. There is a huge amount of healing that can come from sitting with our stories. Please reach out anytime as you continue this project. I am always more than happy to help if and when you get stuck on this very difficult project xo

What I love about the aA Project … is EVEYTHING! Anna offers a safe and supportive community in which artists share a common goal, memory keeping. It is structured with lots ideas on how to create beautiful artistic pages, from concept to completion. Anna offers many ideas to tailor the project to your needs, each book created is unique. I love having a completed book to put on the coffee table for family and friends to browse through and I love hearing the family talk about the memories captured.
Anna Aspnes –
The longevity you have in this craft (15+ years) and the variety of stories you have told over the years are a testament to this project. You still learn something new every time. I also love that your husband gets involved with the photos and details so that it becomes an adventure together of sorts. Thank you being a valued and appreciated member of this beautiful community 🙂

I have been participating in the year end projects since 2017 and have learned so much in my journey with Anna. This year’s project is the best one to date – the very precise organization procedure before we even start is a must to help the flow of the pages, the notes have really been perfected. But most of all, this year was the most informative project to date, Anna put in so much extra work for our understanding of Photoshop CC 2024’s new AI additions which was extremely helpful. I love the Facebook page, it is inspirational seeing all the completed pages and the comments and the suggestions to improve my own pages, thank you Anna
Anna Aspnes –
Thrilled you enjoyed the product Sandy. Appreciate very much the glowing review also. Isn’t it fantastic to watch those photo books stacking up from year to year?
