Description
Digital Scrapbook Photo Books: Advanced Template Design
Digital Scrapbook Photo Books: Advanced Template Design provides step-by-step guidance for creating and finishing a Storytelling Photobook, but better 🙂
This class delivers everything you need to know about modifying template album collections so that you can modify, mix, and master custom template design in your memory-keeping photo book projects.
Typically, you might choose a template, add your photos, and then embellish your memory-keeping pages with digital scrapbook supplies.
However, as the project unfolds, something changes.
You start feeling the need for…
- More flexibility in making the templates work with your photos.
- Pages that cohesively lead the viewer through your stories.
- Customize your templates to create personalized photo books.
So instead of working around your templates, you begin to refine them—You switch them up or make template changes to build digital scrapbooking pages that actually fit your story.
This class walks you through that process from basic page-building to a more elevated, thoughtful approach.
This class helps you create a more savvy photo book project.

From Photo Overload to Finished Digital Scrapbook Photo Books
Instead of guessing your way through a project, you’ll follow a clear, flexible, and surprisingly enjoyable process.
Step by step, you’ll learn how to curate your photos, choose a theme, and build cohesive layouts—without overthinking every decision.
In other words, you’ll finally go from “I should really do something with all these photos” to “I actually made the darn photo book thing happen.”

What You’ll Learn about Digital Scrapbook Photo Books
- How to create a photo book from start to finish (yes, really)
- Where to begin—and how to move past overwhelm
- How to choose a theme that actually works
- Planning strategies that make your project feel doable
- How to select photos and supplies without second-guessing
- Ways to mix and match templates without chaos
- How to tell better stories (without writing a novel)
- Time-saving approaches so you actually finish your photo book
- How to enhance your photos using Photoshop or Elements
- What to consider when printing your book
So instead of spinning your wheels… you’ll move forward with clarity.
Let’s Talk About Templates
However… they can also feel limiting, repetitive, or just plain overwhelming.
So in this class, you’ll learn how to:
- Use the same templates in different ways
- Mix and match different template collections
- Build layouts from scratch using template components
- Turn single pages into cohesive double-page spreads
In other words, you stop working around templates… and start making them work for you.

Your Digital Scrapbook Photo Books Step-by-Step Path (No Guessing Required)
This class is a replay of the Savvy Photo Book Project.
It includes 6 guided video sessions, each designed to move your project forward.
First, you’ll plan, and then, you’ll create
Finally… you’ll finish (imagine that 😉)
- Session 1: Planning your project (goodbye overwhelm)
- Session 2: Working with consistent templates
- Session 3: Mixing different template sources
- Session 4: Creating layouts “à la carte”
- Session 5: Turning single pages into spreads
- Session 6: Finishing, printing, and moving forward
As a result, you always know what to do next.
Support, Structure, and a Few Helpful Extras
Because to be quite frank… sometimes we just need a little guidance (and maybe a nudge 😏)
You’ll also receive:
- A step-by-step planning guide
- Printable project worksheets
- A huge list of theme ideas
- Word prompts to spark your storytelling
- Guidance for printing (including Blurb recommendations)
- 25 word prompt inspirations + coordinating FREE WordART
So you’re not just learning—you’re actually creating.

You’re Not Doing This Alone
You’ll also have access to a private community space where you can:
- Ask questions (because you will have them—and that’s good)
- Share your layouts
- Get feedback and encouragement
- Stay accountable (aka… actually finish)
Because projects are way more fun when you’re not stuck in your own head.
Let’s Be Honest for a Moment
Your photos deserve more than being hidden on your phone or gathering poetic virtual dust on your hard drive. In fact, it’s not just the photos—your memories and stories are missing out the most. They deserve better than “I’ll get to it someday.”
You don’t need more time.
You don’t need more supplies.
You just need a plan—and a way to follow through.

Ready to Finally Make That Photo Book?
This is your moment.
Not to overthink every page or get lost in the process, but to finally make a start and keep going,
to bring your photo book project to life.
Because it’s not just about creating pages. Indeed, it’s about holding your stories in your hands.
Let’s make the magic happen together, friends. 💛

I’ve been digitally scrapping for over 15 years, and have taken lots of classes. I got more out of this Savvy Photobook project (and other of Anna’s Photobook projects) than most any other class. The guidance on planning, the reviews of pages and techniques, the practice a multi-page Photobook provides, are priceless. Then there are the WordArt prompts, beautiful titles for every page. I’ve avoided “projects” in the past, preferring to just scrap the every day, i.e. no planning and consistency required. But with this class, I feel like I now know how to write a coherent “book”, and I’m looking forward to writing my next “book”.

All of Anna’s photo book project classes are excellent! They all cover similar topics of planning, structure and printing, but this class offered a unique method for using her templates. I absolutely love Anna’s templates and in this class, she shows you how to mix and match them to create your own unique layouts. Plus, she offers bonus word prompts to help you get started with page themes and WordArt clusters to add that special touch to your pages. This is a not to miss project class!

So fun to see your finished project Susan 🙂 Glad you enjoyed.

I’ve taken a lot of courses over the last few years and I’ve learned a lot from each of them. This particular class is so unique in that it’s focused a lot on the templates and how to use them as is, or to mix them with others, or to use parts of different templates to make a whole new layout. The prompts and WordArt Anna provided have certainly helped to add titles and meaning to each page. This has been an extremely enjoyable class, and while my pages are still a work in progress, everything I’ve learned is invaluable. Thank you, Anna for the time you take to make each lesson one worth watching again and again.

I loved this class. It was great to learn how to switch out my templates to make them work for me. Anna is always so helpful if you have questions about anything. In my opinion there is nothing better for the value or the instruction you get from these classes. Thanks Anna I’ve created a beautiful album.
