Photo Extractions Photoshop: Selections and Masking (2)
Photo Extractions Photoshop: Selections and Masking (2) | 3 Session Replays | Adobe Photoshop CC
Photo extractions in Adobe Photoshop become truly powerful when you can handle the hard stuff — and nothing is harder than hair and fur.
Part 2 of this multi-class workshop builds on the skills from Part 1 and goes further, specifically into the tools and methods that make complex extractions possible. Over three sessions, you will master the Object Selection Tool, explore advanced masking methods, and work through a clear hair and fur extraction plan you can use every time you need it.
As a result, you will leave this class with both the skills and the confidence to take on photo extractions that once felt out of reach.
Note: This is Part 2 of the Selections, Masking, and Photo Extractions series, conducted in Adobe Photoshop CC. Register for the Photoshop Elements version here.

Rather than adding new tools, Session 3 focuses on building on what you learned in Session 2. Through practice and repetition, the methods become natural. Moreover, by the end of this session, you will know not just how each tool works, but when and why to use it. Specifically, this session covers:
- More examples using the full range of methods from Session 2
- Clear guidance on which process to use and when
- Repetition of methods across a range of different photos

An excellent second part to the course. From Photoshop tools I didn’t know existed, to the honing of extraction skills I already had, I’m expecting my extractions to get better and better. I’m currently rewatching the sessions, pausing the video and practising each skill before moving on! I loved the speed and extra examples in these sessions. The third session made all the difference!

I’ve done many extractions, but I learned so many new tips and tricks to make the extraction process easier…especially hair! Anna’s teaching style is a detailed step by step process with lots of examples so that when class was over I felt confident in experimenting with the new tools presented in class. This class covered so much more than I could absorb in just one viewing. Anna thoroughly covered the subject and showed many examples for selecting, masking and extracting. I intend to rewatch all the sessions so I can practice along with the videos. So glad I participated and I’m looking forward to expanding my skills using all the tools she covered in this class. I highly recommend this class for newbies and accomplished PS users.

Watch, practice and repeat is how we do it around here. It’s so fun to see all the elevation in artistry from this class.

The course was super informative, as always! I had not had a chance to watch the first class, but was still able to track with Anna’s presentation. Perhaps, it was thanks to her slower pace and additional examples.
I loved at the end of the last class, where she outlined how to develop your own approach to making extractions going forward.
Anna’s passion for teaching really shines through in yet another excellent class!
