The Digital Organization 101 Class was very, very good! The handout provided by Anna contained so much information, along with links to various software products. The class started with learning about your own personal way of organizing and viewing things. Are you a visual person or do you work from lists. When you know your basic method, then you can move on with selecting the best way for you to move forward. There were lots of examples and many options to consider. Anna also talked about maintenance and how to keep up with your organization as well as how to keep your digital scrapbooking stash “current”. This class reaffirmed to me that I am going in the right direction with organization of my products; however, there are a lot of suggestions from the class that I want to explore further in the hope that I will spend less time organizing and more time scrapbooking in the future. Thanks, Anna, for a very informative class!

Scrap life altering. I’m very Miss Frzzle Magic School Bus fly by the seat of my pants EXCEPT with organizing scrapping materials, 35 years as a children’s librarian. I need visual and tags, the PS products did not play nice with me, I put hundreds of hours and lots of $$$$$ into another software database I had to update yearly, was underusing, and then it ATE all of my tags, not once, but twice. Anna’s class showed my multiple ways to organize and a way that worked for the Miss Frizzle in me and the librarian me. There are options for the different ways we function and approach our scrapping. I am rebuilding my collection as I’m using it and I’ve learned it’s ok to let go of some things that I’ve never used, that life will go on if everything isn’t cataloged down to the last minute detail or tagged an exact shade of color. For my new way it was a one time $35 investment with a LOW learning curve and I LOVE it. Anything new gets unzipped and cataloged before it’s used, I know what keywords are really important to me now. I’m no longer tied to my main computer for tagging, I can sit on the couch at night while watching TV and tag things in my database so they are ready to go next day. If you are on the fence, get off and get started. Anna, this class was TOTALLY worth the wait. Well, ok, maybe before my database was eaten for the second time 😉
