ArtPlay Garland Inspiration post for digital scrapbooking and photo artistry in Adobe Photoshop and Elements.

The purpose of this post is to inspire using the ArtPlay Palette Garland and coordinating digital assets.

ArtPlay Garland Inspiration

1. Rotate a Template

Turn your template 9o degrees to create a different ‘look’ for your digital scrapbooking page.

• Change the Orientation of the Artsy Layered Template No. 240.
• Rotating the entire template (or some of the layers) 90 Degrees, clockwise or anti-clockwise as preferred.
• Portrait-orientated frames and FotoBlendz clipping masks will become landscape and vice versa – You will just need to Adjust the text and drop shadows accordingly.

2. ‘Sandwich’ Your Focal

Place elements on either side of your photo to lead the eye and create a focal point in your digital scrapbooking page

• Transfers are a great way to achieve this sort of Band Design, but we love Heather’s unconventional approach.
• She has placed MultiMedia Holiday No. 2 elements with the support of Holiday Holiday WordART Mix No. 5 to create a Title Cluster.
• Notice how the distinct shapes create a Visual Triangle with the strong lines of the cart in her photo.

3. Non-Symmetrical Design

Position your photo slightly off-center on your digital scrapbooking page for maximum visual interest.

• We love how Miki has taken the ‘sandwich’ Concept and applied it to the vertical and horizontal axes.
• She has used transfers the anchor the vertical edges, while an embellishment and words create the Same effect on the top/bottom of her digital scrapbooking page.
• Notice how the candy cane in her image Shifts the focal point slightly off-center to yield greater visual interest.
