Description
Travel Photo Book Digital Scrapbooking: for Vacation Memories
Travel Photo Book in Digital Scrapbooking: Self-Paced Replay Course | Adobe Photoshop & Photoshop Elements
Most vacation photos sit in a folder, waiting. This course changes that. In six replay sessions, you will transform your travel photos into a finished, printed photo book — using digital scrapbooking techniques, artsy templates, and a step-by-step planning approach designed to help you actually complete the project.
Why a Digital Scrapbooking Travel Photo Book Project Is Worth Finishing
The photos are already there. The memories are already there. What is usually missing is a clear starting point, a workable plan, and enough momentum to see it through.
A finished photo book does something a folder of images cannot. It gives the trip a shape — a beginning, a middle, an end. It becomes something you can hand to someone. Something that holds not just the photos, but the stories behind them.
In short, this course is built around finishing. Furthermore, every session moves the project forward — from choosing a theme and organizing your images, to designing pages, writing stories, and sending it to print. As a result, you end up with something real.
What You Will Learn in the Digital Scrapbooking Travel Photo Book Project Course
This course covers both the creative and the practical — because a photo book project needs both to succeed. Specifically, by the end, you will know how to:
- Plan and complete a large photo project from start to finish — including the five steps that make any memory-keeping project efficient and achievable
- Choose a theme using an interactive worksheet approach — so your book has a clear direction before you open a single file
- Organize and select your photos for the strongest storytelling — including how to pair down images without losing the moments that matter
- Use Template Collections in Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to create artsy, blended layouts efficiently
- Write better stories — guidance for improving your journaling, finding your voice, and preserving the memories that live behind the photos
- Incorporate travel memorabilia — tickets, maps, labels, and other physical items — into your digital pages
- Choose digital supplies that support a cohesive look across the whole book, not just individual pages
- Navigate printing decisions — format, method, and timing — so the finished book looks as good printed as it does on screen
- Adapt the approach beyond travel — to staycations, family events, or any experience worth preserving
The 6 Sessions in the Digital Scrapbooking Travel Photo Book Project
Session 1: Start Here — Planning Your Travel Photo Book Project
Session 1 lays the foundation. You will learn what a photo book project actually is, how to avoid the overwhelm of starting something large, and how planning makes the whole process faster and more satisfying. By the end, you will have a working project plan and a chosen theme.
Session 2: Choosing Your Approach and Organizing Your Photos
Session 2 covers the structural decisions — which layout approach suits your photos and your story, how to organize your images efficiently, and how to choose the photos that do the most work. Specifically, you will also learn how to pair down a large collection without second-guessing every cut.
Session 3: Template Collections and Layout Design
Session 3 goes hands-on with the Travel Template Album. You will learn Anna’s techniques for working with artsy, blended template collections in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements — including how to use clipping masks, recolor elements, and adapt templates to suit your own photos and supplies.
Session 4: Storytelling, Journaling, and Memorabilia
Session 4 focuses on what makes a photo book more than a collection of images. You will learn how to write engaging stories, improve your journaling, and incorporate memorabilia — maps, tickets, labels, handwriting — into your digital pages in a way that feels intentional, not cluttered.
Session 5: Digital Supplies, Cohesion, and Page Design
Session 5 covers the artistry side of cohesion. You will learn how to choose and use digital supplies across an entire project — so the book holds together visually from first page to last. Additionally, this session includes Anna’s favorite techniques for speeding up page creation without sacrificing quality.
Session 6: Printing, Finishing, and What Comes Next
Session 6 takes you to the finish line. You will learn how to make printing decisions — method, format, resolution — and when in the process to make them. Finally, you will get guidance for overcoming procrastination, completing the project, and adapting everything you have learned to future photo book projects.

What Makes This Course Different
This is not a page-by-page design tutorial. Instead, it is a complete project course — one that treats finishing as the goal and builds everything around it. The planning framework, the template collection, the storytelling guidance, the printing decisions — all of it is sequenced so that each session moves the project forward rather than adding to the pile of things to do. Furthermore, because the course was built specifically for digital scrapbookers, the techniques, supplies, and templates all work the way they need to on a memory-keeping page.
Additionally, the approach is adaptable. The travel photo book project framework works equally well for a staycation, a family reunion, a big birthday, or any event worth preserving. Once you have completed one project this way, the next one is faster — because the planning instincts are already there.
The Photos Have Been Waiting Long Enough
You took those photos because something was worth remembering. This course gives you the plan, the tools, and the steps to turn them into a book — one that sits on a shelf, gets picked up, and actually gets looked at.
Ultimately, the project does not have to be perfect. It just has to be finished. This course shows you how.

I have always admired Anna Aspnes scrapbook pages so when I had the opportunity to take her travel class, I was so excited. I can say without a doubt she is an exceptional teacher. Watching her deconstruct her page and learn her thought process on how to build an exquisite page was fascinating. Anna invests a lot of time and effort to ensure you understand each step of the process. Her willingness to provide extra help and support throughout the entire class goes far beyond the norm. She makes herself available no matter when you need help. I learned so many new techniques (QR codes, blending modes, 2-page spreads, etc.) and thanks to this class, I have a beautiful book of my vacation memories to last a lifetime. I will never scrapbook the same way again thanks to learning from her. I highly recommend taking any class from Anna. I can’t wait to continue learning from her.

I’ve taken several of Anna’s classes and, after doing so, know that she puts her heart and soul into producing and teaching them, including the Travel Project 2023. Though this class is invaluable for scrapbookers at any level, it is essential for students new to the photo book process. Not only does Anna provide extensive supplemental documentation to support your journey, but she also has an “open-door” policy for answering all your lingering questions. Very few people would go to such great lengths to make sure her students are successful, but Anna goes above and beyond what’s expected. Highly recommended!

This Travel Project was the primary reason I was able to print a Blurb book using our vacation photos. Her class is insightful, instructional with 7 1 1/2 to 2 hour classes that you can review at anytime. Even though this is my 3rd book, I will take more of her Travel and End of Year Projects because of the new material that is always presented. I hope this helps.

As with all of Anna’s classes, there were so many nuggets of digi-scrapping tips and tricks. I customized the layouts and created a year-in-review calendar. I am very happy with the results, and I hope to do the same for 2024 (only starting earlier!!).

I have taken nearly all of Anna’s project classes, since 2016, and always learn new techniques, and ideas that work with my own layout style. Her pre-class photo and supply organize system is genius, and is extremely helpful for the actual page creating to go much quicker and smoother. The Project templates are very nice, well thought out in design, and easy to use. My finished pages have been printed both ways, via photo book printing services, and from my home printer and are enjoyable to look at. Anna is so good at recognizing and offering kind suggestions on little details of our layouts helping us make adjustments for the layout to look even better when finished. Having the class replay videos is great! I revisit many of them from time to time, to get new inspiration, and technique reminders. I highly recommend Anna’s classes. She will help you develop the digital skills needed for creating “your style”.
