Our Aspnes family year in review 2023 has become customary over recent years.
Simply one photo or memory to represent the 12 months of this year.
Year in Review 2023
THE MERRY-MAKING IS HERE AS ANOTHER YEAR COMES TO A CLOSE.
I don’t send Christmas cards.
- We have family and friends far and wide.
- I never know what to do with cards and cannot bring myself to throw them away.
- And I’m always looking out for the environment 🙂
BUT I LOVE TO SHARE PHOTOS AND A GOOD STORY.
Previous posts… Looks like I missed last year.

ANOTHER YEAR IN THE BOOKS
Below you will find one photo from each month of our year 2023 with a few notes.
January
Aspnes-Hogsett family kicked-off the New Year with a Triple 50th Birthday celebration in Cabo, Mexico.
February
Luke officially ‘signs’ to join the Bobcats Lacrosse team at Frostburg State University in the Fall.
March
Preparing for empty nesting with Saturday Ski-Days and Spring Break at Breckenridge.
April
Luke wraps up his High School Lacrosse Career. What a season it was for him!
May
Graduation! Ella made it home from her second year at NAU just in time to celebrate her not-so-little brother.
June
The Aspnes cousins gathered for a rare get-together in June.
July
Ella turns 21 years old and celebrates by taking her Dad to a rave at Red Rocks.
August
‘The Last Supper,’ a tradition that hails from my Boarding Days, before Ella and Luke disperse. Ella and Luke beginning their 3rd and 1st years in Arizona and Maryland respectively.
September
A very soggy 3 weeks in Scotland with the Davies/Allardice clan makes living in the Denver sunshine extra sweet.
October
A series of unsuccessful hunting trips for Eric this year.
November
Rocky-bear is 12 this year and living his best life as the center of all attention.
December
A plan for the Holidays finally came together last week, and after a few small hiccups, everyone is now home. Our family time together has been short this year so we’re going to make the most of the next couple of days before Ella heads back to Flagstaff again.
And WHOOSH! Another year has flown by with life ever-changing around here.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and much Happiness in the New Year.
Anna, Eric, Ella, and Luke.
Oh, Anna – you are so talented to put this fabulous Year in Review together! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos, grins and tugs at our heart strings. We love you all and wish you the happiest holiday ever.
Hugs,
Joni and Stan
